.~ Ken Swinson.~

Print by Ken Swinson

Yesterday I was introduced to a wonderful artist by the name of
  Ken Swinson.
It appears to me that Ken's artwork has calories in it.
I find each piece so rich and savory
that I am only able to view one piece at a time.
This morning when I did a shout out to my artist friends to donate artwork to a charity which is near and dear to my heart: Tobacco Valley Friends Of The Shelter Winter Warmer Charity Auction
Ken was the first one to respond.
Ken will be donating this print Hiking Buddy to the auction.
Thank-you Ken from the bottom of my heart.
You are not only an enormous talent,
but you have an enormous heart as well.

I encourage you to visit Ken's website and especially encourage you to
read his blog:

I live in a little log house in Montana. It snowed all day today. A perfectly wonderful day to pull out the paints and brushes and create something special. My dog Cowboy went outside several times while I was painting and sat by the Christmas tree that we have covered with cranberries for the birds.
He would put his nose up into the air and stare at the big Montana sky and I think...yes I truly think he was praying. I think he was praying for Peace in 2013.
Cowboy is often my muse in many of my paintings. This dog doesn't look like Cowboy, but he sure has Cowboy's heart.

.~In Memory.~

"If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together..there is something you must always remember.  You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.  But the most important thing is, even if we're apart..I'll always be with you."

.~Keep Going.~

.~11th Day of Christmas Quote.~

.~ Moments Notice.~

"How did it happen that their lips came together?  How does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts, that  the rose unfolds, that the dawn whitens behind the stark shapes of trees on the quivering summit of the hill?
A kiss, and all was said." ~ Victor Hugo

.~Good Morning Day!.~

"A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world."  Oscar Wilde

.~Tips On Eliminating Negativity.~

I discovered some tips here
that will be helpful for me today:
A Few Tips:
- Every time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, reject the thought, and think a positive one instead.
- If you catch yourself visualizing failure, visualize success instead.
- If you hear yourself uttering negative words, change to positive words instead.
- When you say, "I cannot", say, "I can".
- Do you repeat negative words and phrases in your mind? Change them to positive ones.
- Open your mind to positive attitude and expect positive results.
- Decide that from today, from this very moment, you are leaving negative thinking behind, and starting on the way toward positive thinking and behavior.

It is never too late to change your attitude and your life.

.~ Process of Elimination.~

 1. Completely remove or get rid of (something).
 2. Exclude (someone or something) from consideration.
remove - exclude

I believe that if one wants to reinvent oneself, then the first thing to do is to throw out the things that just are not working in their favor.  For the next 90 days my goal is to pick one thing each day that I discover hinders me in reaching my goals..

I will write them down as I discover what they are.

1. Negative thinking
2. Clutter

About Me

My photo

Oh give me just one day to free my mind,to create to listen, to walk, to quiet my soul,to cool down,to carry on~ My photographs and other artworks are inspired by the wonder, simplicity and quietude of every day life. In every photograph, sketch, painting or textile piece, I hope to capture the spirit, the mood, the song of my subjects. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My creative spirit awakened when I moved to Northwest Montana where there was plenty of room to roam with my camera and places to be alone with nature and its inhabitants. All my photographs are professionally printed by acclaimed Bozeman, MT artist/ photographer Rob Outlaw on archival quality fine art paper. My frames are custom built by artist Richard Moore of Wind and Snow Art Gallery in Polson, MT.
