Artwork: Traci Suzanne Marvel
Quilt By: Sylvia Gauthier
Pattern Manufactured By Bigfork Bay Cotton Company
This art quilt is called "Party Pooper." It features my little character Pupcake. As you can see, he is so whooped from celebrating his birthday that he fell asleep while thinking of a wish.
Speaking of wishes, Sylvia Gauthier and I wished that Bigfork Bay Cotton Company would make Party Pooper a down-loadable pattern on their website. Guess what? Our wish is soon to come true! The pattern is all done and we are just waiting on photography.
There is something extra special about this pattern. It will help wishes come true!
Want to know how?
Licensing fees are paid to Sylvia and I - Woolin Rouge - quarterly. So we decided that the first quarter we would ask the Bigfork Bay Cotton Company customers to submit a charity that they would like the licensing fees to go to. The second quarter the Bigfork Bay Cotton Company gets to choose the charity, the third quarter Sylvia gets to choose a charity and the fourth quarter I get to choose. I already have my charity all picked out for 2012. You will have to wait and see:)
Sylvia and I would like you to submit to us an animal charity that you would like Woolin Rouge to consider supporting this first quarter. Please send an email to email@example.com telling Sylvia and I about a charity that you like us to donate our licensing fees to. Please explain why this charity is important to you. Deadline for entries is Midnight May 1st, 2012.
Sylvia and I will carefully consider everyone's charity and we will announce the final decision on May 5th, 2012. That is Cinco De' Mayo - such a perfect party day!
I will let everyone know when you can officially purchase the "Party Pooper" pattern online. Won't it be great knowing that just by purchasing the pattern you will be helping an animal in need?
Looking forward to your emails!

- Oh give me just one day to free my mind,to create to listen, to walk, to quiet my soul,to cool down,to carry on~ My photographs and other artworks are inspired by the wonder, simplicity and quietude of every day life. In every photograph, sketch, painting or textile piece, I hope to capture the spirit, the mood, the song of my subjects. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My creative spirit awakened when I moved to Northwest Montana where there was plenty of room to roam with my camera and places to be alone with nature and its inhabitants. All my photographs are professionally printed by acclaimed Bozeman, MT artist/ photographer Rob Outlaw on archival quality fine art paper. My frames are custom built by artist Richard Moore of Wind and Snow Art Gallery in Polson, MT.
