.~ Creative Thought . ~
There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose because before he can do so he has to forget all the roses that have ever been painted.

.~ A Life Decision .~
Nothing goes to waste on the journey of life. Both good and bad experiences shape your mind and heart for what is to come.

Both good and bad experiences shape your mind and heart
of what is to come.
~ Leon Brown
I am struggling with a transition.
I feel the time is ripe, however there is a fear of letting go of the familiar.
The words simply surrender resonate to me.
But the question is do I simply surrender to the flow of the transition?
Or simply surrender that I am to fearful to let go?
This conundrum that I am in reminds me of the line from the movie Shawshank Redemption:
Get busy living or get busy dying.
When put like that, it the answer seems apparent.
So why I am I struggling?
Nothing goes to waste on the journey of life. Both good and bad experiences shape your mind and heart for what is to come.

.~Hold On ~.
I woke up on November 14th and there was a heavy fog hanging outside
my living room window. I had not heard of the tragic news in France as
of yet. I stepped outside and took this photo. And the song Everybody
Hurts by R.E.M started playing in my mind.
When the news finally reached me, this photo and the song Hold On by R.E.M took on a deeper meaning.
When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
When the news finally reached me, this photo and the song Hold On by R.E.M took on a deeper meaning.
When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (Hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (Hold on)
If you think you've had too much
Of this life, well hang on
Everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh no
Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone
No, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes
So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (Hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (Hold on)
If you think you've had too much
Of this life, well hang on

Everybody cries

And everybody hurts sometimes
So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts

.~Montana Skies.~
The cowboys had lived for months under the great bowl of the sky, and yet the
Montana skies seemed deeper than the skies of Texas or
Nebraska. Their depth and blueness robbed even the sun of its harsh forceit
seemed smaller, in the vastness, and the whole sky no longer turned white at
noon as it had in the lower plains. Always, somewhere to the north, there was a
swath of blueness, with white cloads floating in it like petals in a pond.
