.~To the Morning.~ By Dan Fogelberg

Photograph by Traci Suzanne Marvel
Watching the sun
Watching it come
Watching it come up over the rooftops.
Cloudy and warm
Maybe a storm
You can never quite tell
From the morning.
it's going to be a day
There is really no way to say no
To the morning.
Yes it's going to be a day
There is really nothing left to say but
Come on morning.
Waiting for mail
Maybe a tail
From an old friend
Or even a lover.
Sometimes there's none
But we have fun
Thinking of all who might
Have written.
And maybe there are seasons
And maybe they change
And maybe to love is not so strange.
The sounds of the day
They hurry away
Now they are gone until tomorrow.
When day will break
And you will wake
And you will rake your hands
Across your eyes
And realize
That it's going to be a day
There is really no way to say no
To the morning.
Yes it's going to be a day
There is really nothing left to say but
Come on morning.

.~Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk:.

I am doing it again! This is the 3rd year that I -along with Jane Anderson - will be walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk in Seattle.
The dates are Septemeber 11 - 13, 2009. Once again, I will be reaching out to friends, family, artists and strangers to help us raise the $2,200 that we need to participate. This charity means alot to both Jane and I as cancer has deeply affected our families and friends.
Jane has already signed up so if you would like to donate money please go to:
If you are an artist and would like to donate a piece of artwork to our 3rd Annual Art at Work Auction to be held at the beginning of August, please contact me at traci@bigforkbaycottonco.com
It is exciting and terrifying to consider doing the walk again. Jane and I truly walk the entire 60 miles and at 50 and 54 respectively, it isn't an easy task. Neither is fighting cancer, and that is why we do it.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you that want to support us and the Susan G Komen fund.
Why? Because everyone does deserve a lifetime.
