About Me

My photo

Oh give me just one day to free my mind,to create to listen, to walk, to quiet my soul,to cool down,to carry on~ My photographs and other artworks are inspired by the wonder, simplicity and quietude of every day life. In every photograph, sketch, painting or textile piece, I hope to capture the spirit, the mood, the song of my subjects. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My creative spirit awakened when I moved to Northwest Montana where there was plenty of room to roam with my camera and places to be alone with nature and its inhabitants. All my photographs are professionally printed by acclaimed Bozeman, MT artist/ photographer Rob Outlaw on archival quality fine art paper. My frames are custom built by artist Richard Moore of Wind and Snow Art Gallery in Polson, MT.

Cowgirl Making A Snow Angel

This is a photo of my beautiful dog Cowgirl making a snow angel.  I just found out that Cowgirl has bone cancer in her right knee.  Soon she will be a real angel.  I know she is going to heaven because she has already been my angel here on earth. I am so very sad for me, but so happy for the dogs and people in heaven who will get to see her soon.

.What Does It All Mean?.~

.~I Dare You To....~

"There are images around us, in everything we see
Some are real and some are fantasy
To the one who sees his vision,
to the child who lives his dreams
You're the one to decide what you're gonna be
So give it your best, and don't worry about what some may say
Follow your dreams, it's really all that you can do
Give it your best,
and remember that life is what you choose
Follow your dreams, and do what you love to do
There are places you'll remember, and times you may recall
Faces that refresh your memory
May the thoughts that you will picture, help you come to see
That you're the one to decide what you're gonna be
So give it your best,
and don't worry about what some may say
Follow your dreams, it's really all that you can do
And give it your best,
and remember that life is what you choose
Go on, follow your dreams and do it,
follow your dreams and do it
Follow your dreams, and do what you love to do,
 what you love to do.

.~Pablo Picasso.~

Up for auction at Christies's is a fine signed drawing in colour crayons of the head of a bearded man, inscribed by Picasso to his physician, Dr Louis Gossen. The subject is a recurring figure in the artist's work in 1966-68. The drawing is executed on a sheet of laid paper, on which are mounted reproductions of two other works by Picasso. It could be yours for $38,000 and some change!

~.What is Folk Art?.~

An Excerpt From the Booklet, "(Folk) A.R.T. Is"
by Scott Blackwell

"So, what is folk art anyway? In all my years as a collector, I've heard it labeled in so many different ways; some call it outsider art, self-taught or visionary, but for me, I've always just stuck to the basic term, folk art. The collection I've built over the years contains works embodying what I think of as folk art, a category that was best identified for me through the insight of artist, Lonnie Holley, who once asked, "Are you looking at the art or are you looking at the artist's mind?" This simple question really made me wonder, "What are we really looking at here?" It's more than just bright colors and crude renderings, more than just gathered materials or an untrained sketch.

Here in these works, what we're really looking at is the rawest form of self-expression, the exposed soul of the artist and their passionate stories of life."

~.Marc Chagall.~

"Only love interests me, and I am only in contact with things that revolve around love."  Marc Chagall

Marc Chagall is one of my most favorite painters.  This painting is called Amoureux de Vence/.
I found a poster of this painting on AllPosters.com/. I could spend hours on that website perusing the beautiful artwork.
