After I had lived in Denver for several months I came back to Cody for a visit and the one thing I couldn't get over was the smell of the air. It smelled like sagebrush and pine trees. That's when I knew I had to move back home. No more smog for me.
I was also so surprised the first time I saw the ocean and realized it smelled like fish. Everyone had always talked about the smell of saltwater. I guess I thought salt had it's own scent.
