.~ New Half-Year's Resolutions ~ .

Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover desk calendar reminds me that - July 1st, 2014 - marks the official second half of the year. Marilu suggests that on this day you do the following:

  "Make a list of everything that's been working in your life these past six months, and a second lost of everything that hasn't. These two lists will tell you at a glance what you want to keep and what you need to change for the rest of the year." ~ Marilu Henner

 Today I am going to dig within and identify 6 things that have been working and 6 things that I need to change. There is still time to make 2014 the B.E.S.T year of my life.

List #1. What's been Working (Keep)
1.Praising God Every Day
2.Gratitude for my husband, children, family, dog and health.
Also for a roof over my head, clothes on my back, a job that makes a difference.
3. Saying Serenity Prayer often.
4. Looking for the positive in each day.
5. Seeking Peace
6. Spending time creating photographs, textile designs, writing,painting... .

List#2. What's Not Been Working (Change)
1. Fear
2. Negative Thinking
3. Not moving enough
4. Not drinking enough water
5. Not laughing enough
6. Not eating enough wet foods such as fruits and vegetables.

Those are my thoughts for now. How about you?

creative mind, intelligence, emotional strength, my never give up attitude, family
Change:
bad eating habits, defective body, clutter, lack of meal planning, debt, excess weight

Keep: 1. Organizing efforts 2. Prayer life 3. subscription to getmealplan.com 4. caring for DH with cancer 5. Walking to church 6. finally getting cataracts removed! (I will see color again!)

Not working: 1.Cancer 2. Lack of exercise 3. not keeping up with yard work 4. too much butt time -- not getting enough done around the house. 5. Canceling travel plans (ugh) and making insurance claims. 6. not using our beautiful patio.

2. Lazy days where I don't exercise
3. Not keeping a close eye on my spending and getting off track with my budget
