About Me

My photo

Oh give me just one day to free my mind,to create to listen, to walk, to quiet my soul,to cool down,to carry on~ My photographs and other artworks are inspired by the wonder, simplicity and quietude of every day life. In every photograph, sketch, painting or textile piece, I hope to capture the spirit, the mood, the song of my subjects. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My creative spirit awakened when I moved to Northwest Montana where there was plenty of room to roam with my camera and places to be alone with nature and its inhabitants. All my photographs are professionally printed by acclaimed Bozeman, MT artist/ photographer Rob Outlaw on archival quality fine art paper. My frames are custom built by artist Richard Moore of Wind and Snow Art Gallery in Polson, MT.

.~It Has To Be You.~

"Each day is like a work of Art yet to be designed, an Empty Canvas waiting for the Dreams in your mind. Your talents and strengths are like the colors you can use to paint your life anyway you choose, because there is only one you."  Jennifer Davis

.~Down To Earth in Textile.~

I was playing around with my fabrics on Sunday. I always wanted to try and recreate the painting I did of Down to Earth in fabric. I still have a few things to add, but thought I 'd share what I've done so far with you. It still has the essence of the original painting, but I could not help but put some spring colors in it. I especially like the color bubbles. Spring is gurggling from the earth. I can feel it, can you?
When the top is done, I will then send it to Sylvia Gauthier, master quilter, and have her work her magic. The it will go into our etsy mercantile. Can't wait until we get that up and running.

My Quilts Arrived!

I went to the post office today and look what was in the mailbox...my quilts!!! Sylvia Gauthier quilted Let It Go and Party Pooper just in time so I could enter them in the auction at the Friends of the Shelter's Winter Warmer on February 21st. They turned out so great, I just might have to bid on them myself!
Thank-you Sylvia oxoxoxoxox

.~Speak Up Super Snacks.~

I have created a new line of dog treats to help raise money for the Friends of the Shelter. I am starting out with a dog cookie that is made up of flax, peach and blueberries. This whole idea will evolve, but this is how it looks today. I am off to make my first batch!
I'll let you know how it turns out~
