About Me

My photo

Oh give me just one day to free my mind,to create to listen, to walk, to quiet my soul,to cool down,to carry on~ My photographs and other artworks are inspired by the wonder, simplicity and quietude of every day life. In every photograph, sketch, painting or textile piece, I hope to capture the spirit, the mood, the song of my subjects. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My creative spirit awakened when I moved to Northwest Montana where there was plenty of room to roam with my camera and places to be alone with nature and its inhabitants. All my photographs are professionally printed by acclaimed Bozeman, MT artist/ photographer Rob Outlaw on archival quality fine art paper. My frames are custom built by artist Richard Moore of Wind and Snow Art Gallery in Polson, MT.

~.Anticipation of Day 9.~

White Wine
Artist: Judi Bagnato
It is day 6 of the fast. Tomorrow is the last day. It will take 3 1/2 days of reintroducing foods into my diet before I can go back to eating whole grains, nuts, seeds, beans and tofu. It is day 9 I am most looking forward to. As with day 9 comes a little glass of white wine.

.~Painting Fresh From The Market.~

From the Market IV
About the Artwork: Daphne Brissonnet discovered art through science. Fascinated by nature’s beauty, Brissonnet first approached it through studies of botany. As she learned about plants, their hidden universe of shapes, dimensions and colors compelled her to paint. Primarily self-taught, Brissonnet honed her skills at workshops led by renowned teachers from the United States, Canada and France, and quickly gained recognition for her art. In addition to painting vintage-inspired works and culinary imagery, Brissonnet has also worked as a graphic artist.

.~Party Pooper.~

Since I had a bunch of fabric out,, I decided to recreate my water color design of Party Pooper in fabric. Maybe I will ask Sylvia if she will quilt this one too for the auction.

.~Let It Go.~

Let It Go...Let it Go...Let It Go
Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.-- Oprah Winfrey
I think the first thing that I am going to do in 2009 is let all my worries from 2008 go. And the second thing I am going to do is finish the many art projects that I've started, even if it means reaching out for help.
I created this little quilt design about 2 years ago, and never finished it. The Winter Warmer Auction for the Animal Shelter is in February, and I want to donate this quilt. This morning I recreated the little dog and got it all packaged up to send to Miss Sylvia Gauthier - quilter extraordinaire - who is going to quilt it for me. We are going to donate it together.

I am not sure that I am sold on the blue inner border. I will see what Sylvia thinks. I do like the name of the fabric though it is called Bluebird.
Maybe it should be purple? Comments are most welcome.
