.~ Mother's Day Give~A~Way ~.
No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother’s love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star.

8 x 10 Giclee' Print
Although my mom passed away a few years ago,
She remains my ultimate hero.
I overheard my brother telling my mom
that when God made her,
he made the perfect person.
I believe that to be true.
In honor of my mom and your mom, I am hosting a Give~ A~ Way a 8 x 10 giclee' print.
It's called Venturer Highway and represents the
strength, power and beauty
of a mother's love.

BTW your photography is beautiful and it would be awesome to win a print:)
I think one of her many super powers was creativity.
I think one of my favorite memories, certainly one I will always cherish is the last visit to my mom at her home. She was especially happy that we visited that day and the love on her face as she waved goodbye was luminous.
Her super power was selfless-ness!
My Mom was the strongest person I know. She overcame so many obstacles in her life. Both her parents had died in Kansas before she reached her teens. She grew up with her Aunt in California. She married a sailor at a young age, who later was killed at Pearl Harbor. Her daughter by the same husband died at three months of age. She married my father and had three children of which I am the youngest. They were married for over 20 years and she suffered physical abuse at his hands for most of that time. She did that because she thought it was the only way to protect her children. Finally she got up the courage to divorce him. From that time on, she worked three jobs to support her kids because she got no help from my Dad. She never complained and she always made sure that we had what we needed.
She died at the young age of 54 from ovarian cancer. I was the only one with her when she passed. I was holding her hand at that moment and I will be eternally grateful to have had her as my mother. I believe some of her strength flowed into me at that moment.
It's been almost 40 years since she passed, but boys never forget their mothers and I will always cherish mine and her strength throughout her short life.
I picked the winning name of this print this morning at 9:00 am.
